Gen. The conference lasted 3 days and the participants had the opportunity to inform about their training activities, discuss with other stakeholders, working in thematic workgroups, visiting the facilities of the General Dhagadaban Training Center and seeing the EUTM-S trainers at work, sharing experiences and opinions.

The conference represented the first step towards improving quality, coordination and integration of all training activities in favor of the Somali Security Forces.

As part of the European Union’s integrated approach that encompasses political, security, humanitarian and development actions, EUTM-S provides strategic advice to the Somali Ministry of Defense, when required, and to the SNAF General Staff, education and mentoring to NCOs and Officers, as well as operational training to SNAF units and specialists.
