EUTM-S Mission Force Commander met the Swedish Commander of Joint Operations

Mogadishu – 22 & 23 of October 2023.

EUTM-Somalia Mission Force Commander Brig.Gen. Poli met with LtGen Carl-Johan Edström, Chief of Joint Operations of the Swedish Armed Forces. LtGen. Edström was briefed on mission’s activities and had the opportunity to closely observe the training of Somali personnel currently underway at the training center. LtGen. Edström also met the European Union Capacity Building Mission (EUCAP) Somalia Head of Mission, Mr. Kauko Aaltomaa. During the meeting, cooperation of EUCAP Somalia with EUTM-Somalia and the Swedish contributions to these two missions were discussed.
