NEW UNIT PATCHES FOR THE 1ST LIGHT INFANTRY COMPANY

On 3rd April, the European Union Training Mission Somalia delivered the first unit patches to 98 soldiers belonging the 1st Light Infantry Company of the BIRJEH Battalion.

The ceremony was held in Mogadishu at the General Dhagabadan Training Centre (GDTC) to honour the achievements of these Somali National Army Soldiers as they continue their training delivered by EUTM-Somalia. These unit patches will identify these soldiers as belonging to the 1st Light Infantry Company and foster unit cohesion.

It is important for you to know and take pride in your belonging to the SNA” said the Colonel Juan Lopez Martin, chief of the Training Team during the ceremony “because reinforcing the capacities of Somali National Army SNA will contribute to the stability of Somalia and will support the Guulwade Plan towards further transition plan”.
