Mogadishu, August 6, 2020 – The Management and Planning course for the Somali Police Force (SPF) has been concluded, this morning, at the Police Academy in Mogadishu.
The course, oriented to 9 among Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the SPF, started on 3 August at the Somali Police Academy through video lessons and using multimedia equipment carried out by the European Union Training Mission-Somalia (EUTM-S) Advisory Team in close coordination with European Union Mission Capacity Building Mission (EUCAP) Somalia.
The activity was performed to provide theoretical and procedural preparation to prepare the SPF personnel who in the next future will be employed in the planning and conducting of joint Operations with the Somali National Army. Among the subjects, the students learnt the Command and Control function, the Leadership and effective communication, the Planning decision-making process, the Planning of the deployment and re-deployment phases and the Planning for the conduct of Operation.
During the closing ceremony, attended by the Head of the Advisory Team, Colonel Luca ROLLO, the Advisory of C3I, Major Andrea CHECCUCCI and a Police Adviser of EUCAP, Mrs. Petra HEPPELER on video tele-conference from the EUTM-S Headquarters, the SPF personnel was awarded with the certificates.
EUTM Somalia Contingent, even in this period of global difficulty, has never stopped its activities continues to support the build-up of the Somali National Armed Forces through Advising, Training and Mentoring activities.
